Ashley and Kurt arrived at Prestige Ballroom in April of 2015 after they had purchased a ballroom dance gift certificate from a fundraiser at Kirkwood United Methodist Church. Ashley is a financial analyst with a large firm in the local area, and Kurt is a minor-league baseball player. Since they were having a large ceremony and reception, Ashley and Kurt said their ideal first dance routine would be “traditional, and not super boring”. To help make their first dance dreams come true, the couple was placed with Owner and Instructor David.
Due to their dedication and three month time frame prior to their wedding, Ashley and Kurt were able to incorporate Rumba rotations and steps into their already stunning Foxtrot routine. Super impressive! It was clear that this duo really wanted to create a special first dance to remember forever.
“I’ve never seen my fiancé dance before we had our first lesson at Prestige. He’s a sports guy. David made ballroom dancing so fun we forgot we were learning something new. Before we knew it, we had a whole routine down pat. We are so excited we decided to give ballroom a try!” – Ashley & Kurt
