The tux, when it comes to old classic weddings it’s hands down the clothing of choice for the guy. However, we are no longer in the 50’s and the tux may not be the staple it used to be. By all means it’s still widely acceptable to wear a tux, but personally I no longer think its the best option. Instead the better option is to wear a nice tailored suit, and there are many reasons why.
The Suit Is More Modern
With the changing of generations things just tend to go out of style. People want to do something different than their parents and grandparents. They want to mix it up, and a suit is the perfect way to do that. It’s a modern look, that is both classy and stylish. Some people worry about looking the same as the guests, but as long as you get a nicer suit there will be no problem.
Ties Look Better Than Bowties
This one is completely objective, but then again so is the whole article. I for one think that ties look one hundred times better than bowties. Not only are there a larger variety of color schemes possible with ties, but they accentuate the waste and make the man look both taller and slimmer. While bowties on the other hand, come across as more preppy and childish. Maybe it’s just because I can’t pull on off, but who knows, the fact still stands that a nice silk tie will look better than a bowtie nine out of ten times.
Afterwards You Can Still Use The suit
The biggest reason you should get married in a suit ultimately boils down to practicality. You spend a little extra money, get a really nice suit, and then after you are done, you still have that suit. Big occasions will come up and you can still bust that guy out. While some styles come and go, the suit will always be in. It just makes sense, you will look just as good, and have something that will last and is at the same time more versatile.
