Emily K. She has been dancing ballroom with us for almost a year. She decided to start dancing at Prestige Ballroom because she “missed dancing and wanted to learn.” Before joining Prestige, Emily had experience with cheer. Her performance will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before!
Nate C. Nate joined the Prestige Ballroom Team 6 months ago. He initially started taking ballroom lessons at Prestige Ballroom because he wanted to share the experience of dancing with the outgoing and dance fan—Emily, but now has also found a love for accomplishment, precision confidence and being the “conductor” of the movements he and she share as they partner on the dance floor.
Karen S. She started dancing ballroom for almost 3 years ago. When Karen called Prestige Ballroom to inquire about dance lessons, she was so impressed with David and his positive and welcoming attitude that she decided this was the place for her. Her confident performance will inspire you.
Hope W. She has been ballroom dancing for a year in May. After watching Dancing With The Stars, Hope made the decision that she wanted to learn to dance the elegant and fun styles that she continues to see on the show. Her performance will amaze you!
Elizabeth M. She has only been dancing ballroom for a couple of months; however, she has enjoyed dancing many other different dance styles throughout her life. Elizabeth knew she wanted to continue dancing, so after her first lesson at Prestige Ballroom she was hooked. She saw this as a “great opportunity to continue” her dancing.
Peggy P. She started her ballroom dancing journey almost 3 and half years ago. Peggy had previously danced swing at different locations throughout the St. Louis area. Pretty soon, though, swing was just not enough to satisfy Peggy’s dancing needs. At Prestige Ballroom, Peggy has been able to learn all the other styles in rhythm and smooth.
Monica Adams She has been ballroom dancing for almost 4 months; however, she did dance when she “was 3-7 years old.” From then on, whenever she would hear music she would always start dancing. Monica has said, “Music is in my blood.” After hearing her clients talk about their dance lessons with David and how much they loved it, she decided dancing at Prestige Ballroom would be her next adventure.
Marni P. She has been ballroom dancing at Prestige Ballroom for almost a year, but she has been dancing other styles, such as: jazz, tap, ballet, and modern, on and off for 10 years. Marni’s initial push to start ballroom dancing was to prepare her First Dance with her now husband. Since then, she has continued her journey with learning more ballroom dance styles. Her outgoing and bubbly personality will shine throughout her routine!
Emelie B. She has been ballroom dancing for a year. Emelie had wanted to learn ballroom dancing but her brother sparked her interest even more after “he raved about how much fun” he had when he took lessons at Prestige Ballroom.” Her brother’s “positive experience” was just the inspiration she needed to call Prestige to schedule her first lesson.
Terry F. She started her adventure at Prestige Ballroom almost 7 months ago. Never having danced ballroom before, she decided now was better than later to check this off of her bucket list. Her inspiring performance will leave you wanting more.
Carolyn T. She started ballroom dancing a little under a year ago. This is Carolyn’s first experience with dance. She decided to start dancing at Prestige Ballroom after watching Emelie dance and thinking “she looks so gorgeous and elegant.” Her dance will leave you wanting more.
Faye B. She has been dancing at Prestige Ballroom since last December. However, she started dancing ballroom in her teens and continued dancing off and on over the years. After realizing that she wanted to do something for herself, Faye decided to get back on the dance floor.
Nicki H. She has been ballroom dancing, with Josiah, for 6 years. She danced a little ballet, tap, and jazz as a young girl but that didn’t last long. Josiah and the Prestige Staff lured Nicki to Prestige, but the energetic atmosphere and friendly nature has kept her coming back.
Hannah G. She has been dancing just shy of four years now. She started in college after a teacher encouraged her to learn ballroom dance to pad her theatrical skill set. She ended up falling in love with it, and has stuck with it ever since.
Evatriana F. She joined our Prestige Ballroom team almost a year ago. Evatriana has always had an interest in dancing, and Prestige Ballroom has helped blossom that interest into a passion. As our youngest performer, you can expect a fun and high energy routine!
The countdown is on! There are only 10.5 weeks left before the big show! Our dancers are working hard and preparing for our Summer Trophy Ball & Showcase. This week we asked our dancers to share with us “What prompted you to decided to dance in the Showcase?”
Dancer #1- “Enjoyed the technical nature of ballroom dance and wanted to tackle a routine”
Dancer #2- “went to the winter showcase and it looked fun”
Dancer #3- “the desire to improve”
Dancer #4- “This is the 2nd showcase I will be performing in and I wanted to improve as a performer. I also find joy in dancing and expressing myself”
Dancer #5- “I wanted a new challenge, something fun and exciting”
Dancer #6- “It had been 2 years. I was ready to showcase [a different dance]”
Dancer #7- “I have loved dance my entire life! I grew up taking ballet, tap, and jazz like many little girls and then watching my parents shag, swing, and jitterbug. My dad is gone and am drawn to dance with my mom to make her proud”
Dancer #8- ” I love to challenge myself, both mentally and physically. I knew that committing to a showcase would push me to break out of my comfort zone and reach a higher level of dancing and performing”
Dancer #9- “face fears and push myself”
Dancer #10- “to find courage when there is fear…”
Dancer #11- “performing has always been fun”
Dancer #12- “I was ready to try a dance that I hadn’t performed much before”
Come back next week for the official reveal of all our performers!
Our journey towards the Summer Showcase & Trophy Ball began this past week for 16 students with Ilya Reyzin choreographing all the fabulous routines. Over the next 12 weeks, these dancers will be perfecting their routines and sharing this adventure with you. There are a variety of dance styles and song choices. Join us each week as we check in with the performers and follow their stories.

What to get that person who you’re stumped by on what to give?
Give the gift of dance! It may out of curiosity, a long-time desire to learn, kindness to someone else…or even necessity, but we’ll make it amazing no matter the skill or experience level.
In a hurry? We can email the certificate to you to present or print out to your special someone or friend.
Tell me more…what’s a Ballroom Dancing Gift Certificate Like? Gift certificates are customized to fit your goals, desires, interest level and budget. Most always include our $25 Introductory Ballroom Lesson, which is much like a Sampler Platter that helps you get oriented and helps us teach you in the very best way. This is the lesson where everyone starts–and it gets you on the correct footing (sorry about that), and really does set you up for success and enjoyment of dancing in the future.
In addition to the Introductory Lesson, many people will purchase a beginner program, while others want a gift certificate for a fixed amount. We can make any amount work from $25 and up. You can also go with our tried and proven programs that work for most people. Either of the two basic beginner plans are great for those with and without partners, and with little, some or no experience.
Our cookie-cutter plans:
Introductory Ballroom Lesson–Only $25.
The beginner A program:
5 Private Beginner Ballroom Lessons customized to fit you and your partner’s learning styles and dances of choice; 5 group lessons at the studio which will give you a smorgasbord of fun dancing (including Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Cha cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing and Salsa); and finally 5 practice parties (every group is followed by one of our fun practice parties to use what you just learned in the group, or that week in your private lessons. So, 15 separate items for $475, and coupled with the Introductory Special, this gives you up to 11 visits or “date nights” while you explore, learn and have fun growing together.
The Beginner B program:
10 private lessons, and 10 groups & 10 parties. If you have that perfectionist streak going or if you like to learn by repetition, and need to “own it” before you move on to the next concept–well, if this sounds like you, then you might be a great candidate for our Beginner B program. Coupled with the starting point lesson, this would provide you up to 21 visits and date nights, and would suffice to produce confidence, “ownership” mastery and ability to dance the basic figures in your dances of interest. For social situations, this would allow slow and fast dances at weddings, Latin or swing clubs, or even formal galas or events where Ballroom might be the order of the day. This program is $950.
How do I order?
Call us at (314) 596-2188 and we will custom build it over the phone in less than 10 minutes. You’ll have it in your inbox within 30!
How do we use it when we are ready to come in?
Easy! Just call us at (314) 596-2188 and we’ll reserve date over the phone, and we’ll get your initial lesson on the calendar and buckle in for fun! At the end of lesson #1, we’ll plan out the next few and go from there. Once you set your date, we’ll give you some final tips, what to wear and expectations for the first fun lesson.
We also have plenty of parties every month, as well as other fun open houses and other fun activities you can join too. We look forward to meeting you and to a great time dancing! Call today and get your certificate for fun, dancing and fitness, and join us for a wonderful 2018!
