Why You Should Honeymoon in Ireland
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day being next week we decided to throw some love across the pond and tell everyone why they should have their honeymoon in Ireland.
It’s hard to think about Ireland without awakening the old soul that lies within. It brings of thoughts of freshness, romance, beautiful scenery, glorious castles, and a simpler time. Everything just seems to move a little bit slower, and the beer just tastes a little bit better.
In the 32,595 square miles that is Ireland you can find rolling hills, misty ocean-side cliffs and quaint seaside villages, plus grand castles and country manors. So no matter what you want your honeymoon to be, you can find it there. One of the biggest perks, at least in my opinion, is the castles that the country has to offer. This is because most Ireland honeymoon packages involves couples getting to spend their honeymoon inside a castle.
Screw cabanas and beaches. You will probably go on vacation to a beach. How many times in your life do you really have the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful landscape the world has to offer, and then when you come home in the evening it’s not to a hotel or a hut, but to a castle.
Not to mention if beaches are what you want Ireland has those too.
In fact, much of the action is situated on the Atlantic coast. There’s national parks, seaside villages, golf courses… and more castles. Ireland is a perfect place to rent a nicer car and explore along hilly roads that twist and curve through the countryside by day, then dine on fresh oysters and salmon with traditional Irish music and pints o’ Guinness at a local pub by night.
Then obviously return home to your castle.
The honeymoon is supposed to be a time to celebrate and relax with the person you just promised the rest of your life to, and it’s a time that should be as unique as your marriage. Ireland offers a nightlife if you want it, and views that are unparalleled. But most importantly it’s cozy, it’s romantic, and it’s somewhere that you may never go to again, making that time you spent there right after your marriage that much more special. I promise, if you go there, at the end of the day when you’re sipping some wine and whisky by the fire, after a day of exploring the countryside and visiting the town. You’ll know you made the right choice.
